Metropol-Tech Consulting Inc. (MTCI) is an IT Training, Consulting & Staffing firm Based in Maryland USA. The Company was Incorporated in February 2016, The Company is totally Owned by a Group of African American IT Practitioners with Diverse IT Specialties & Business Backgrounds.

MTCI was born out of CEO and founder Didian Tsongwain helping young African immigrants in the basement of his house training them to become Oracle Database Administrators. What started as assisting one student was growing to a point where there was a need for bigger & additional resources.

The Company has since inception ran a very successful IT training and consulting operation in the Washington DC, Maryland & Virginia area (DC Metropolitan). MTCI has successfully trained more than 600 students with over 400 employed in reputable companies all over the United States including providing IT Consulting & Staffing Services to several of these companies. Central to our training philosophy is a focus on competency-based training (Skills, Knowledge & Attitude) in all our courses. Organizations need skilled people, but they also prefer the right attitude above skills because skills can be taught more easily than attitude.

The success of our training program has to a large extent depended on instructor selection; we painstakingly choose instructors who are Subject Matter Experts (SME) with years of experience under their belts.

  • Making African youth competitive in the Global economy by steering them towards highly sought-after IT certification
  • Create a center or IT hub in Africa for competitive IT outsourcing offerings on the continent of Africa
  • Leverage the vast diaspora technology and technical experts who excel in their respective professions abroad to give back to the continent
  • Prepare the continent for return of the African Diaspora (Technology & Medical)
  • Create employment opportunities in the Continent
  • Reduce emigration of young Africans to Europe & North America

Africa Plan

Our experiences, the success of our training programs (98% of our alumni employed are of African heritage with no previous IT background) birthed a desire that many Africans in Diaspora carry within. A desire to give back to the continent.

Remittances are good but only if they can build legacies or foundations that the future generation can build upon. Sitting on the sidelines in no longer an option. This desire has been expedited by the current pandemic’s aftereffects and the realization of the necessity to help the African continent speed up the information technology aspect of its environment and infrastructure given that there is more need to do business online which also brings the issues of vulnerability both in information systems and human resources.

Like its natural resources, the potential of the Africans and Africa in general is evident as seen from the success of our students in IT & in other Fields. The era of digital transformation and the current global crisis has led to countries doing business virtually and thus increasing the vulnerability of most information infrastructure & our desire to give back to the continent through IT training and Consulting.

Over the past years we have trained students in the following IT areas.
